American International Group, Inc. announced that Catherine Duffy will join General Insurance as the company’s Bermuda Country Manager at a date to be determined.
In this role, Duffy will oversee AIG’s insurance operations and strategy in Bermuda and report to North American General Insurance CEO Lex Baugh. Duffy will work with product leadership to serve customers and distribution partners. AIG’s Bermuda Monetary Authority and other local stakeholders.
Having about 30 years of experience, Duffy is a veteran of the Bermuda international insurance market. He joined XL Catlin from XL Catlin, where he served as senior vice president and managing director at XL Bermuda Ltd. Throughout his career, Duffy has taken on many leadership roles, including senior vice president, Torus Insurance Bermuda’s Excessive Responsibility. vice president, XL Insurance Insurance (Bermuda).
Duffy graduated from Howard University and was the first woman to win the CPCU title in Bermuda.
