An employee has been seriously injured in an explosion at a pyrotechnics plant in southwest Missouri.
KSPR-TV reports that a fire subsequently broke out on July 3 at the AM Pyrotechnics plant in Pleasant Hope, which supplies big fireworks shows.
Firefighting District Fire Brigade Chief Jake Agee said a high explosion was reported and more explosions occurred when firefighters arrived.
Firemen said that most of the workers left the building before the fire, but one person stayed inside.
Agee says the woman was seriously injured from the car and flew to a hospital.
Agee said that several firemen responding to the fire responded and that the cause of the explosion was under investigation.
