Whitmer Taps Fox to Lead Michigan Insurance, Financial Services Department


Michigan Governor-Elect Gretchen Whitmer has selected Anita Fox to head the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services.

Fox brings more than 30 years of experience in the legal field to the role, having specialized in litigating a wide range of business and insurance issues.
Outgoing Val will be succeeded by Rick Snyder, DIFS Director Patrick M. McPharlin, who has been in charge since May 2015.
After graduating from Kalamazoo College, Fox graduated from the University of Michigan Law School. It also has the Michigan State Secondary Education Certificate.
