Vermont School District Says $50K Stolen Electronically

A Vermont school district says $ 50,000 is being electronically stolen from bank accounts.

Cindy Brownell, chairman of the Pownal Elementary School Board, says authorities are coming from outside the country, but do not know when and how it is done.

The insurance for the Bennington Banner reports will cover the entire $ 5,000 loss and the bank will cover the remaining amount.

Brownell said the FBI was involved in the investigation.
