The production version of the Skoda Vision X will be introduced next year in Geneva

The new SUV was introduced as a concept at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The final version of the product will be available at the Geneva exhibition next year. Seat Arona and Volkswagen T-Cross will compete with the Czech cousin Peugeot 2008 and Hyundai Kona. The production model will be slightly softened compared to the concept.
Vision X will use the Volkswagen Group’S MQB A1 platform. Since Skoda positions its cars at the top of the segment in terms of size, the new crossover 2645-mm long wheelbase, which has not yet been named, will deliver more cabin space than its sister models.
It will take the power of the automobile from the Volkswagen Group’s small gasoline and diesel engines. These include a 1.3-liter petrol engine from Octavia and Fabia, with 95 PS (94 bhp/70 kW) and 115 PS (113 bhp/84 kW) power output.
The 1.5-litre turbocharged 148 bhp (146 bhp/109 kw) engine will be the strongest in the series. The 1.6-litre diesel will also be available.
Skoda will keep the production cost of the new crossover model as low as possible. Thus, the MQB A0 platform supports the four-wheel drive system, but the new model will only be available with the front-wheel drive system.
