The National Weather Service has confirmed that the remnants of Hurricane Florence spawned a total of six tornadoes in Virginia earlier this week.
Five of the tornadoes on Monday were spread across the Richmond metro area. A sixth tornado hit Mecklenburg County, near the North Carolina border, the same day.
News centers reported that the Wakefield National Air Service teams in Virginia were damaged by Tuesday’s storms and confirmed this under six.
The strongest hurricane killed a laying company in Chesterfield, a man working there. This storm was categorized as the EF2 tornado and carried winds 120 miles an hour.
