Energi, the Peabody, Mass.-headquartered parent company for Energi Insurance Services Inc., has named Michael Windstein as chief underwriting officer.
In this role, Windstein will support Energi’s underwriting operations with the recent launch of its eCaptiv programs for the energy and transportation industries.
Windstein previously served as assistant vice president for the Mid-Atlantic and has managed the subtitle portfolio for this region. In addition to his experience at Energi, he served as vice president and editor-in-chief of Victor O. Schinnerer, and a registrar of the Global Energy Central Market (GEMM) program at AIG, which specializes in the oil and gas industry.
Energi recently launched eCaptiv, an insurance company based in Vermont. The PC1-IC program is for energy companies that have $ 250,000 or more in fuel distribution, energy transport, energy production, renewable energy, agricultural cooperative and primary accident premiums. eCaptiv’s PC2-IC program is for energy companies located in the same area as the PC1-IC, but with primary premiums of less than $ 250,000.
