Chubb announced the establishment of a Major Accounts Division in the Asia Pacific region, a dedicated premium service that encompasses underwriting, risk engineering and claims for the region’s large, global and multi-national clients and business partners.
The new Major Accounts Division will be headed by Doug White, currently country president of Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau. As the head of the Major Accounts Division for Asia Pacific, White will be responsible for delivering tailor-made, holistic solutions and services to clients and business partners through management of the Chubb Global Services team, Global Client Executives, Claims Client Relationship Managers and Risk Engineers.
In the new role, White Chubb’s Regional Chiefs and Accidents Chairman will report to Asia Pacific Jason Keen. The appointment entered into force on 1 October 2018.
White has been in the insurance sector for over 25 years. In 2014, Chubb joined Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau as president for a four-year term. Before joining Chubb’a, Linkedin’s profile became general manager of Jardine Lloyd Thompson (November 2010-March 2014). Prior to that, his CEO also assumed the role of CEO, Hong Kong (January 2003-December 2005), general manager and general manager for HSBC Insurance Brokers (January 2006-April 2010) in Asia Pacific. .
On a separate appointment, Patrick Wong, newly created Global Customer Executive, entered into force in North Asia. Reporting to White on 1 October will serve as Wong’s senior relationship manager and single point of contact. Chubb’s major global customers in North Asia.
Wong is now Chubb’s Hong Kong Property and Resignation Office. It is a well-known figure with a long and successful career in the local insurance industry. He joined Chubb’s premise company in 1991 and since then has been an integral member of the Property & Casualty team, taking on leadership in 2005.
