Anderson Assumes Executive VP, CFO Roles at CNA

James Anderson has assumed the role of executive vice president and chief financial officer at Chicago-based commercial insurer CNA, effective Aug. 1.

Anderson, who most recently served as senior vice president and head of Financial Planning & Analysis and Corporate Development, succeeds D. Craig Mense, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
Anderson joined CNA in 2012 and has since become an important member of the Finance leadership team. He proved himself a strong financial leader with a strong driver for results.

Prior to joining CNA, Anderson spent nearly a decade in investment banking focused on the insurance industry and eventually worked as a manager at Macquarie Capital. This experience followed the five year consulting process at Accenture.
